Obituary for Nona E. Bessie Graham

      Nona E. �Bessie� Graham passed from this life on October 8, 2009 at Norman Specialty Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 91. Nona was born in DeKalb, Missouri on January 6th, 1918 to R.J. Strong and Dora (Stedham) Strong. She married Harold Graham on June 19th, 1938 in Anadarko, Oklahoma.

      Bessie was a resident of Lindsay, Oklahoma since 1948. She had worked in retail sales. She was a member of the first Christian Church, Christian Women�s Fellowship, Mother�s Club, the Lindsay Literary Club and a past member of Eastern Star. Bessie�s hobbies and interests included photography, foreign travel and scrapbooking.

      Nona is survived by her two sons, Gary Graham and wife Martha of Norman, Oklahoma and Phillip Graham of Waxahachie, Texas, Three grandchildren; Mike Burnshire and wife Lori of Wichita, Kansas, Jay Graham and wife Julie of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Johnathan Graham of Texas along with six great-grandchildren; Kobee Burnshire of Virginia, Michigan, Larry Burnshire of Coffeeville, Kansas, Peytn Burnshire of Wichita, Kansas, Nick Dool of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Evan Graham of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Chloe Graham of Ardmore, Oklahoma.

      Bessie was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Strong on March 25th, 1979. Also preceding her in death were her parents, R.J. and Dora Strong and one brother, Floyd Strong.

      A memorial service for Nona is set for eleven o�clock a.m. on October 16th, 2009 at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma with Rev. Joseph W. Wingfield officiating.
