Ken Wright's Vietnam Videos
1970 - 1971
A Video Memory of
Charlie Battery
6/27th Artillery Vietnam

I was drafted in May, 1969 and took Basic Training at Fort Ord CA and  AIT Training at Fort Sill, OK as well as ACL (Artillery Combat Leadership School - "Shake & Bake").  I was in Vietnam from April 1970 to March 1971 serving my entire year with Charlie Battery on Gun #1, and as Section Chief from July 1970 until I went home.

For almost 39 years  I have been married to my wife, Cathy. We have two boys, Casey 33, and Clint 35, and two granddaughters, Caitlynn 12, and Caleigh almost 3. We live in Houston Texas since we moved here from Long Beach, CA in 1978.  For the past 13 years I have been working for a large stevedoring company in the Port of Houston .

These videos were originally shot between Sept 1970 & April 1971 on a newly purchased 8mm camera.  Last year my son transferred the film to VHS tape and recently I had a service convert to digital and burned to a DVD with the soundtrack to "Apocalypse Now" so the quality varies. The videos were then converted to Windows Media Files for presentation on this website.  I hope you enjoy them and that they bring back a few good memories for you.
