Squad tent at night. We had a generator to electrify the entire battery. We had to steal the generator off a ship in Saigon. Some smart sergeant took a duce and a half to the docks and backed up under one as it was coming off a ship like it belonged to him and drove home with it. I built a ramshackle shed to hide it as best we could and no one ever question us about it. The drinks were kept cold with locally purchased blocks of ice packed in rice husks. As more troops arrived the price of ice increased due to popular demand.
